Preserve Your Velaro
Chemical Care
- Avoid contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetic products.
- These substances may damage the bracelet, case, or sealing components.
- If exposure occurs, wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth.
Leather Strap Care
- Avoid contact with water or excessive moisture to prevent discolouration or deformation.
- Limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to reduce fading.
- Leather is naturally permeable, so avoid oils, grease, and cosmetic products.
- The use of leather cleaning products is not recommended.
- Contact VELARO support if you experience any issues.
Automatic Power Reserve
- The movement is powered by the natural motion of the wearer’s wrist.
- When fully wound, the watch provides a power reserve aligned with its specifications.
- If not worn regularly, manual winding may be required.
Impact Resistance
- Designed to withstand everyday wear and minor impacts.
- Strong impacts or accidental drops should be avoided.
- Severe shocks may affect internal components or timekeeping performance.
Temperature Conditions
- Avoid exposure to temperatures above 60°C (140°F) or below 0°C (32°F).
- Sudden or significant temperature changes should also be avoided.
- Extreme conditions may affect performance and internal components.
Cleaning & Care
- For metal bracelets and water-resistant cases, use a soft toothbrush with mild soapy water.
- Rinse with clean water if required, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Avoid abrasive materials or harsh cleaning products.
Magnetic Exposure
- Avoid exposing your watch to strong magnetic fields such as speakers, electronic devices, or magnetic closures.
- Magnetic interference may affect timekeeping accuracy.
- If performance is affected, professional demagnetisation may be required.
Crown Operation
- Ensure the crown is carefully pushed in and fully secured after any adjustment.
- A properly secured crown helps prevent water from entering the mechanism.
- Failure to secure the crown may compromise water protection.
Swimming & Usage In Salt Water
- After exposure to saltwater, rinse your watch with clean, lukewarm tap water.
- Salt residue may cause corrosion or affect moving components if not removed.
- It is recommended to have water protection checked periodically by a VELARO authorised service provider.
Water Protection
- Water protection is not permanent and may reduce over time.
- Ageing seals, impacts, or improper use may affect resistance.
- Components such as the crown, pushers, and crystal play a key role in maintaining protection.
- Regular checks by a VELARO authorised service provider are recommended.
